The Evolution of Bydand

The Bydand symbol is a combination of two cap badges from regiments within the British Army that our founder has served: the Gordon Highlanders and 22 Special Air Service (SAS)

The Gordon Highlanders was a light infantry regiment that existed for 113 years, from 1881 until 1994, when it was amalgamated with the Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Camerons) to form the Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons). They are now known as 4 Scots Royal Regiment of Scotland.

The Special Air Service (SAS) is a special forces unit within the British Army. The regiment was founded in 1941 and reconstituted as a corps in 1950. The unit under takes roles of Covert Reconnaissance, Counter Terrorism, Direct Action and Hostage Rescue
